Clarification

Regarding the state fuel tax, state senate District 7 candidate Bryan Langan clarified, “Though I would consider ending the fuel tax, due to the volatility of fuel prices and the fact that many Tennesseans don’t drive, I would rather we implement temporary suspensions of the fuel tax as necessary to provide relief. However, because I believe every Tennessean deserves to have food in their stomach, clothes on their back and shoes on their feet, If elected, I would introduce legislation to end the state sales tax on groceries, clothing under $50 and footwear under $100.
