Town traffic focus at Oct. 8 session
According to its website, the Board will review and discuss upcoming infrastructure adjustments.
“The current focus aligns heavily with the Town’s [fiscal year] 2027 Capital Investment Program, which allows 73 percent of its budget directly toward transportation and infrastructure projects,” the site stated.
Traffic and development contexts surrounding the Town Center district include:
• The Adaptive Traffic Signal upgrades, which include ongoing pilot implementations using SWARCO adaptive technology at four major Kingston Pike intersections — from Campbell Station Road to West End Boulevard — to alleviate core district bottlenecks.
• Boring Road and school traffic mitigation strategies, such as temporary closures, connecting access roads stemming from heavy impact of the new school development.
